Power Host Status Removed

I find it hard to believe that Peerspace removed my Power Host status because I had to cancel one last minute book for 2 hours to accommodate a 12 hour booking that started late. For starts my minimum booking is 4 hours so I had no obligation to accept a 2 hour booking that would have gone until 1:30am in the morning or later. The booking was made less than 12 hours ago so if the guest has the option to cancel within 24 hours with no penalty, the host should have that option as well. This was my first time cancelling a guest so it is extremely unreasonable for it to affect my status. I have over 200+ 5 Star reviews in less than 10 months of using Peerspace. This is a totally unfair policy and a very bad judgement call by Peerspace. 75% of our guest contact us directly and we always tell them to book through Peerspace. Unbelievable policy decision.

Nobody reviews these things. It’s automated.

Power Host status does very little for you really. I stopped worrying about it awhile ago and saw little if any dip in inquiries after I lost it.

Agreed, its just that their reasoning was not justified and only lead to Peerspace losing $$ . Thanks for the reply

Sorry to hear about your Power Host status. I hope they are able to resolve that issue. Based on your post, you are doing very well with your bookings. By chance, would you have any availability to provide some advice to my business partner and I? We host on airbnb and we also are listed on peerspace (we are new on both platforms). We would love to hear any advice you are able to provide. Let us know if there is a good day/time to connect.
Thank you!

This just happened to me; how long before your power status returned ?
