Hello, hope everyone is healthy and doing well. I’m sure many others have faced this issue, and hopefully Peerspace will take another look at this drop in service. After years of being a Power Host, unfortunately due to the Pandemic, I have not had the same amount of inquiries as pre-pandemic times, and as a result lost my Power Host status. Just like the airlines and almost every other “Loyalty” style program, I was hoping Peerspace would take into consideration that we are still in a Pandemic and automatically renew this status for those who have met every other requirement in order to be a Power Host, however that appears not to be the case. I tried reaching out to Peerspace Support but was advised that the mystery team who makes this determination would not take this into consideration. This is very disappointing and I hope Peerspace does the right thing. Best Wishes to Everyone and their Loved Ones!
Hi Alex
After I saw your message I noticed that I have lost my Power Host Status as well. Totally agree with you and hope Peerspace would take into consideration that we are still in a Pandemic and automatically renew this status for those who have met every other requirement in order to be a Power Host.
Thanks for bringing this out, Alex.
Diana
Thank you @Diana_D it was very surprising, and just seems with everything going on, Peerspace would appreciate their Power Hosts more and be more understanding. Hopefully it is just an oversight and will be rectified soon.
Hi Alex, I lost my power host status due to a problem I had to deal with that didn’t allow me to accept any bookings back in November of 2020. I have since regained my power host status because I have readjusted my approach to appeal to a broader range of customers. I don’t think the pandemic is really the complete cause of your loss, although it may be a factor in your case. It is likely because of the pandemic people are spending less which is redefining who is now a power host. To hold a power host status you need 5 bookings every 90 days. I am doing like 8 bookings a week throughout the nearly thr entire pandemic. I would suggest maybe try adjusting your approach before asking peerspace to adjust the entire system. I had to work like a dog to regain my status after I lost it due to my own problems. That being said Peerspace is awesome.
Hi @Andrew_A1 and thank you for your comment. I definitely understand why you may feel that way, however I’m also certain that California has a completely different set of rules and restrictions than Atlanta which you may not be aware of. For someone who has been a Power Host since the start of the program, I have a pretty good idea as to what is required, and what works and does not work for our listing. I would suggest perhaps doing a little more research in the future than throwing out a blanket comment without the facts. In addition, as I mentioned, when Hotels, Airlines, Restaurants and pretty much anyone else that I am a Loyalty member of extended their statuses, I feel Peerspace should have as well, as the reasoning for all is the same. Lastly, please keep in mind that spaces come in different shapes, sizes, and prices. A space that is $25 an hour cannot be compared to a space that is $200 an hour, they are priced differently for a reason. Also, the number of potential clients differ greatly, and as FilmLA can tell you, the larger productions were affected by the Pandemic tremendously. Either way, as I respect your opinion, I hope that you can respect mine as well. Yes we both agree Peerspace is awesome, but there is always room for improvement.
