Im not sure I think it’s quarterly. However in smaller markets - KC - like mine it’s really hard to achieve it. As soon as I get it on a busy month then it goes away. They should loosen the rules for smaller markets cause there’s less bookings to be had. I can’t win all the bookings! Or can I? (Insert Evil laugh)
My Power Host status was just removed today. I didn’t get the 5 bookings I needed and yes it is quarterly in the email they sent me it stated “Based on your activity over the past 90 days.” Very frustrating I get scouted a lot, they always say they love my home and yard but then they choose another location. I’m in Los Angeles so there is much production activity going on but also very competitive. Either way, my power host status didn’t really make a difference in my bookings.
@Maria_B I hate to hear you didn’t qualify for power host status this quarter! I have included some great articles below to increase your bookings for next quarter’s review.
I think adding the instant book option could be a helpful tool to look into. I know a lot of our hosts have great success with the instant book option. Also, offering custom rates to select guests could increase your conversation rate. Perhaps you want to offer 6 hour discounts to some guests? Additionally, I would suggest asking for feedback from executed bookings to see if they can provide more insight on your space. But lastly, and most importantly, I hope some other hosts can jump in and provide tips to convert inquiries into active bookings!
