Please fix the UX on Peerspace

Sending a list of things that need to be fixed for significantly better UX on peerspace in order for me to continue to use this platform for hosting.

  1. When I click on my listings in the overview section of my profile, it should click to what the listing looks like. Instead you have to click the share link then open that link in a new browser.
  2. The app should show my payments overview just like the website does - why is this not a webapp and they are synced? When I go to payments on the app it only shows what card I have payments going to, that is not helpful. I need to see the payments and their status.
  3. I should be able to manually adjust the hours for the rental to whatever I need them to be, the other day someone wanted to book fairly last minute. It wouldn’t let them choose the hours they wanted so they had to choose two hours later then confirm over messaging the actual hours they wanted :zany_face:
  4. Peerspace should have something where the client is agreeing upon checkout to the rules I’ve created, to show that each item was read and the guest confirms they understand and will follow them
  5. I do not like to have the overage time controlled by Peerspace, it should be able to be manually updated to what the renter and me have agreed on (in writing) - disallowing this very frustrating. There will be peak times and other times I’m only willing to rent the space in overtime at a certain rate. If the renter agrees to it in writing there is no reason Peerspace shouldn’t let me bill it
  6. It is maddening Peerspace tries to force you to give reviews to people and blocks you from doing other things on the app until you do so.

Thanks for the post, Katie—these are all great points.

On #3, I had a similar issue recently during a last-minute booking where the guest wanted to start earlier than originally requested. I tried to modify the start time, but the system wouldn’t allow it—likely because it was within two hours of the original start. It would make much more sense if hosts could adjust the start time as long as it’s still before the new time. That kind of flexibility is key, especially for last-minute bookings or when both parties are aligned.

Hope Peerspace is listening—these are smart, practical suggestions!
