I cannot update bookings when there is only one hour before arrival, but guest wants to add a bunch of add ons last minute. how can they do this?
You can add the charges on the back end …On the email that you recieve from peerspace after your booking is over, asking if you want to add over time, there is another button to add other charges.
If you click it youll be taken to a google form to detail the additonal charges. I break down each charge and end with the total extra owed.
I always have the guest send the request for the add on through the peerspace messagss so that there is a clear record for proof.
What Chyna said. Before anything have them log into Peerspace and put the requests in writing, don’t risk someone changing their mind later on, or haggling because they didn’t use the add-on. Best to document the use of the add-on by photo as well
Do any of you know how to take an add on charge OFF if they didn’t end up using an item?
Yes it’s the update request/create custom offer feature, just un-click the add-on, and crucially, before you send it beat it over the renter’s head that they themselves will need to manually click through the change for any update, whether it takes money/features away or adds them. Also if you have your own deadline that is fewer days than Peerspace’s seven days to accept (which is basically every occasion in our experience), set your own deadline, like “by end of business hours tomorrow or update will be removed” don’t let them think they have a week to get it done.
