Need help: scout sessions feel impossible now

i rent out my personal home (not a studio) and we get a high volume of inquiries from production teams. about 80% of them need to scout the space with their director and client before they’re able to officially book — which i totally understand.

i’ve stopped sharing my address in chat since it seems like peerspace might be tightening up on that kind of monitoring. i’d prefer to keep guests on the platform, but i also don’t want to lose bookings because people can’t see the space beforehand.

i tried offering a one-hour shoot at a $0 subtotal to allow for a scout, but that didn’t work.

i’m not trying to charge for scouts, but also can’t wait until after a full booking to show the space — it feels like i’m in limbo. how is everyone else navigating this?

You can setup a dedicated day for tours and maybe create a walkthru video and floorplan for the space

We encourage all of our guests to preview first so that they can be confident about using our space. If they decide to book, they still go through Peerspace so there doesn’t seem to be any problem with sharing our address anymore in the chat.

I haven’t heard of any restrictions regarding sharing your address in the chat. As you say, if a potential guest wants to scout before booking you have to share your address in that way.
