How to extend while booking is active

I ran into an issue this weekend and I wasn’t sure how to handle it. I had a renter that wanted to extend her booking by an hour. How do I do that ? I couldn’t find anything on it and support was gone.

I just add an hour or whatever it is on at the end. I don’t usually charge the overtime rate, which is more, just the regular rate. When the booking ends, you’ll get that peerspace generated message, which is emailed to you and it will ask you the question “Did the client stay extra hours?” Or something like that. And that’s where you can add the extra time.

I’ve had many clients needing to extend, and I just tell them I am going to add on to the booking, usually an extra hour, and I’ve never had a problem. They are usually relieved to know they don’t have to rush.

I’ve never extended a booking any other way while it’s actively happening- I don’t know if that’s possible.

You said it right. You can’t add extra hour after the booking has begun. You just have to add the extra hour when the booking is over.

You will receive an email about leaving a review and you can also add damages or additional charges also. You can submit the Overtime there.

I send a reminder text 30 minutes before their booking ends. If they do not respond and stay past their booking I charge times 2 the hourly rate.
