Is there a policy on this? I have a guest that seemed very well reviewed and legit but is over 90 mins late for an 8-hour booking. How long are we supposed to wait before chalking this one off as a now show. They are not responsive to messages at this time.
Good question…definitely following for responses.
Hi Rob,
If you identify them as a no-show, why would you wait for them?
our minimum is 2hrs for a booking, I can’t tell you how many people are so late they arrive with barely 30mins left of their booking. We get this A LOT with hardly any communication and since Peerspace doesn’t require guests to put proper contact info we can’t even text or call. 90% of the time they’re late because their makeup artists took too long. All we can do is wait and hope they respond to the messages. The upside to this is we always get people adding overtime.
Great question! If a guest has booked your space from, for example, 2pm to 4pm, they are entitled to that space for that entire time. If they want to show up at 3:45, take 2 photos, and then leave at 3:50, that is their prerogative. We have outlined this in our Terms of Service:
Bookings are a legally binding agreement between you and a Guest which means you are required to provide the Space and Host Services as described in your Listing and according to the terms agreed to in your Booking.
With that being said, just like @Smac_M said, you are well within your right to charge overtime or require the guest to be out of the space by that 4 pm end time.
If a guest does not show up for their booking, please let us know by emailing us at help@peerspace.com. We will then confirm with the guest, cancel the booking (but still issue your payout), and expire the reviews.
