How Does Peerspace Decide What Spaces to Promote First?

Hello,
Since joining Peerspace in November 2023, I have done a blind search monthly on Photo Studios in Atlanta and every month the same spaces are featured on the first page. How does Peerspace prioritize what spaces to promote and appear first when clients are searching for spaces in their area? How often is Peerspace refreshing their search listing order so that other spaces and hosts have the opportunity for their spaces to been seen and in turned booked? Is there an additional fee that these spaces on page 1 are paying to be featured first? Is any other host experiencing this in their area?

I have a 1 hour response time, 5 star review rating and very good detailed reviews from clients. However when I search for spaces like mine, literally just putting “Photo shoot” in the search, my space does not appear until page 5 or 6. I feel like I am doing all I can as a host but if my space is consistently on page 5 or 6 and the same spaces are always featured on page 1 and 2, how can I ever attract bookings when clients have to go through 5 pages of spaces before reaching mine?

This isn’t an actual reply to your question but a question about your search.

You mentioned getting the exact same results each time, which leads me to ask;
Are you clearing your cache and cookies before repeating the search?
Are you trying different browsers and changing from phone to computer?
Are you trying the search from several different locations around your city?

If you’re like most people, you’re getting the same results 'cuz the cache and cookies aren’t cleared.

As far as your actual question, I wonder if PS has too many hosts…

Honestly being on the 5th and 6th page isn’t bad if you started in November. For me personally, it took me a good year or so, to get to the 2nd page, it usually takes time to get to the first few pages .

From my personal experience - What can help to boost

  • Getting more 5 star reviews
  • Being Consistant with a good response time
  • Also getting more booking or accepted inquires

It also Helps to have great photos to bing more people to your listing will give you More views and more people will save your page.
