The App Is So Glitchy All Of The Time Now -- What Happened?

Ever since the app’s redesign a couple of years ago it has continually been glitchy. The past chunk of months have been very bad, though. It continually shows I have unread messages even when I don’t. It takes forever for new messages to load. Lots of times I’ll get a message notification and click to open the app and the new message won’t load. And right now I’m trying to access the app and it won’t load any messages in my inbox… it says I have no listings… it shows no info for me… but it does show that I’m logged in. The app for some reason doesn’t always update automatically, even though I have it set to do so. I have to go into the app store and then click Update on the app’s page. I just did it. Nothing fixed. :man_shrugging:t2:

I’ve had the same problem with the app. I’ve found a quick fix in deleting the app and re-downloading, but it’s a temporary fix at best. I now just use my laptop to access Peerspace.

I deleted and reinstalled and it didn’t fix the issue. Logged out and then logged back in and now it’s working… for now. It’s a bummer that it’s become so problematic – used to be a pretty flawless app. I hope the user experience for guests isn’t as bad otherwise it would definitely turn away potential guests.

I also have had emails constantly sent from old bookings. And multiple glitches in the app.

Hey everyone - we’re aware of this messages bug in the app. It should now be resolved - try logging out and logging back in. Additionally, you can try re-downloading the app from App Store. I hear your frustrations. I’ve been personally involved in every release of the app since day one and take pride in our app being stable and useful to hosts. I want to make sure our hosts have the best-in-class experience and will work to make that happen. Feel free to reach out to customer support, they message me directly when there is an app issue. We’ll make fixes and adjustments as needed. I appreciate your patience, passion for Peerspace, and for reporting issues.

Thanks for the response @Jeff_A. I have a few more issues to throw at ya:

  1. While I’ve got a message thread open for a guest it starts switching back n forth to a different guest’s message thread. I made a recording of it if you’d like to see.

  2. New messages don’t load in the inbox on their own and I often have to pull down on the inbox multiple times to refresh it to get them to appear.

  3. Message threads with guests are sometimes missing chunks of the conversation.

Ditto. Nearly 50% of all US phone users are Android operating systems. Really wish Peerspace would work on that!

I am also having a problem with the app. It won’t let me respond. I have to go on to my computer to log in which I am not always around, Then it looks like I have a very delayed response time. I normally respond within the hour and now it says 7 hours. It is so frustrating!

Yes, so many glitches.

The photo experience is horrendous. If you want to add a new photo, you have to reorganize all your photos.

I can’t add in new price levels or change the price on listings.
