Hi All -
I just received a message in a chat this morning (9/17/20) at 11:36am CST . I previously messaged with this individual once back in March of 2018.
The message is a blackmail scam of a sexual nature including a bitcoin link and threatening tone… It was very alarming to receive.
This is most definitely a scam but want to know what plan of action is taking place by peerspace to address this.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We understand how alarming it can be. We received your email as well, but want to post here for community wide visibility.
Please know this matter is not an issue with the security of Peerspace accounts but with the individual user and their compromised email address. Your Peerspace account is secure. However if you wish to take steps to reset your password for additional security you may do so from the Log In page.
We have reached out to the user to let them know their email account has been comprised and Peerspace account has been suspended.
If you or any other hosts continue to receive these messages on our platform, please do not reply, and let us know.
