Peerspace will disregard your minimum

I’m new to hosting on Peerspace but I have my space listed for a 2 hour minimum, however it is allowing my guests to book at 1 hour. How do we fix this issue?

Turn off automatic booking. Yes, even though I have set perimeters, I still get requests to book for less than my minimum ( I do not have automatic or instant booking turned on). Unfortunately when we have raised concerns about the platform, it never gets fixed.

Hello,

If you have a minimum then I am assuming it is coming through as a request to book not an instant book. When I get those I let guest know they do not have a confirmed booking since they did not book the minimum hours and if they only want 1 hour the hourly rate is higher. I give them the option to keep the 1 hour for a higher hourly rate which most of them end up asking for me to send them an update for the minimum hours since the 1 hour will be about the same as the minimum. I never give the same hourly rate if it is under my minimum hours. If we can’t agree then I just decline for not booking the minimum hours.

Hope this helps.

Peerspace told me it is so we can decide whether or not we still want the booking. I have instant book on for photo shoots and if someone whats to book less thsn our minimum it is only a request. I always inform them of our minimun and 99% of the time to update to book the minimum.

Hi all! - Thank you for your posts regarding minimum hour requirements, I’ll be happy to provide further clarification!

If Instant Booking is enabled on your listing and a guest attempts to book for less than your minimum hour requirement, the booking will be submitted as a request that will require your approval to proceed rather than a confirmed Instant Booking.

When a guest submits a booking request that’s below your requirement, they receive a message that states that the host is likely to decline their booking request as it does not meet their minimum hours.

Our product does not completely block the guest from submitting the request as we do not want to take away any potential leads that a host may receive. Many hosts in this situation inform the guest that the request is below their minimum hours, and send a counteroffer that the guest can accept that would meet their requirements.

I hope this helps but if you have any additional questions or feedback on the feature please let me know!
