Hi Peerspace…my minimum booking time is 90 minutes but people are able to request an hour. I’m not sure about instant bookings because no one has just booked an hour but if they are able to book less than our minimum booking time, why is that a feature? Can there be an alert that instructs guests they need to book at least our min booking time or the booking/request doesn’t go through? Thanks!
Nicole
Hi @Nicole_D
When the guest want to message you it does have a disclaimer with the minimum hours that this host is requesting. People will request but you have a option of accepting or not.
We had a minimum booking of 4 hours which I thought was very reasonable based on the hourly rate we were/are charging. I had to change it for a client because they didn’t want to spend that much. Buuuttt… now I really wish I would have stuck to my minimum since I have now spent more than 3 hours with them on their “pe-views” on three different days. They finally did book for three hours only. No doubt they will go over and we will not get paid. I am not sure how to handle this in the future.
Lisa_M1 - If your guest goes overtime, why wouldn’t you charge them extra? They should always pay for the time they use (with maybe a 15min grace period).
Minimums can vary but I have a production studio with a minimum of 3 hours.
