Hi All - I know I have brought this up and even to the ceo at PowerHost meeting years ago but calls for re-visiting.
Firstly we are all after better exposure and more bookings - duh! It seems Peerspace could be giving us more and better opportunities to do so. It is clear as stated by many the site has become over saturated so hard to get seen even if your space is great.
I have been on and off the PowerHost list since the beginning. Pre pandemic the PowerHost get together they hosted were fun and informative and would love to see them again soon.
More importantly I think PowerHost listings should somehow be boosted.
We need something more than a sticker and water bottle.
It would also be great if PS would create paid boosting. This has been requested here a lot. It would be easy cash flow for them and I think many would pay for some sort of paid boost to be seen. Sometimes it’s hard to find my own studio if I search as a customer would with all the right criteria.
Would love to hear a response and more importantly a solution from a Peerspace representative here.
I have been with PS since it’s inception and think it’s a great platform- but much more can be done for the hosts and quality spaces here to shine.

Personally, I do not like the idea of a paid boosting.
Paid boosting is not a good idea, I think for many fairly obvious reasons. If Peerspace isn’t sending you enough work, I would suggest you take any money you have earmarked for such a program and spend it marketing your business through other channels. Pay to play will be the death of this platform.
I’ve been on the platform for 5 years and I’ve never seen anyone ask about paid boosting.
Paid boosts are not as simple as paying to have your listing at the top of the page. There’s a whole system that would have to be created to support this. If I’m paying to get my listing in front of customer eyeballs, I would want to determine who’s eyeballs should see it, how often they clicked, how often those clicks turned into inquiries, bookings, etc. This is how IG “boosts” work.
I would personally like to see PS spend that dev effort on other things like fixing the messaging system and other multitude of requests that we’ve been asking about for years.
Hi @Robert_R, although I definitely understand your frustration, I am not too sure paid boosting would help the overall community. I do think you bring up some good points/ideas, such as perhaps providing Power Hosts with a “ranking” so you know where your listing stands compared to others, so you can work on your visibility in other ways. Thanks for the reply. Yes I do think as you said maybe something can be done to help PowerHosts with a ranking system - like Trip Advisor would do. There should be more perks for those that are delivering for the platform. I know personally I have 100% 5 star reviews and have been with Peerspace since the beginning pretty much. I feel like more can be done to improve top performers exposure.
