We have a Space which has multiple rental areas (3 Dance Studios, a Theatre & a Patio with an Outdoor Stage). If folks drop by for a walk-through, they see the other adjoining areas & want to book more than just the single space but understandably, they normally ask if there’s a discount on booking 2 or more areas. I don’t see an option to allow such a negotitation within PeerSpace - although charging less for multiple hours/spaces from the listed rate, the opportunity of making a higher rate overall would be advantageous for all concerned. Any thoughts?
Hi Martin, for any guest you can use the “Create Custom Offer” feature. Here you can include anything you like, and any discounts, and all the guest has to do is accept your offer. Can really simplify and speed up the booking process.
@Martin_H consider making multiple listings that package the popular combinations. More listings means more visibility on the platform.
I have 2 adjoining rooms and 3 listings. The 3rd combines the rooms into a single booking.
We have a similar issue. To deal with it, we use Parent/Child spaces - our internal booking app has an option for bundles using a system of “parent” and “child” bookings whereby if one space is marked as the “child” of a “parent” space, the calendar blocks out the “child” space when the “parent” space is booked.
Using this, we’ve setup a series of bundles with custom names like “Theater Screening” and “Music Performance” and “Full Space Event” so that when people book just a studio, it’s one rate, when they book a theater event, they get a larger meeting space with their studio as well as access to the projector and sound system, and Full Space books every available room at the location as well as notifies the regular studio members that the productivity spaces are booked for a private event.
I just opened a second space and did something similar to what Geoffrey suggested. The only difference is that I had the individual book the first space and then provided a discount on the second space. My thought is that it will beneficial to get reviews on both spaces.
Brad - I’d considered that, but was afraid that listing another space under the advertised PeerSpace rate would create an accounting confusion. I’ll try it, as it sounds the easiest option to tie such anomalies together. Grateful for the comment, Brother!
