I got the Stripe email about 1099s, does anyone know where the link is, to click on?
Am I blind?
Here’s a screenshot of the email.
thanks!

I clicked on the page and it was seamless. But I do not see anything specific other that the yellow stripe boxes.
I don’t see a link to verify or confirm my information for “action needed” request.
I had the same problem, but there’s some sort of hidden button in the white space between paragraphs. If you mouse around, you’ll see your cursor change to the finger icon (Mac). Just click there.
Weirdness and mystery doesn’t end there though! When I click through on the hidden button, I get a message that says the link has “expired”. Below that message there’s a (visible) button that says “request link”. I did that 2 days ago and have yet to get a new email.
This will be my excuse to the IRS for not claiming my Peerspace income ![]()
I was at a loss too. Came here to see if others had the same issue. Geoffrey is correct. You have to click around the white space and then it will take you to set up an account. I liked it better when Peerspace would just email or mail you the form. Just another account to manage and share personal information with.
Hi all. I have asked our team to look into how to assist with this issue. I know they are in touch with Stripe. Thank you for your patience and apologies in advance.
I too had a problem finding out how to establish that the 1099 should be sent via email. I filled in my account with all my specific information but strip was wanting banking information etc so that they could collect the payments and disburse the monies, which Peerspace does. I have not heard back from Stripe if there was additional information I needed to supply. I did complain to Peerspace, that they are sending a 1099 based on a $600 threshold - which is for earned income, not rentals. They shouldn’t send anything out until after we hit the 15th day of bookings. But, now I am going to have to ask Turbo Tax how to protect the first 14 days of income.
If you highlight the all text in the email the button should also highlight and you should see it.
Hi,
Just an update from our end regarding the new Stripe Express platform and the email with the invisible button.
The button is indeed there in the email in that white space above the FAQ, but it was sent with white text on a white background. Not to worry, Stripe is going to resend that email this week with a visible button.
We’ve had great success with a number of users successfully creating their Stripe Express account. We understand a few others have run into other potential technical issues. If you have not contacted our support team yet and are still experiencing a technical hindrance to completing this, please do so via the Support Form and select “I have U.S. tax questions” from the ‘Contact Reason’ dropdown menu so we can get you routed to the right team.
As a reminder, the 1099 documents will not be issued until late January, but it’s best to get your Stripe Express account active and verified ASAP.
Thank you.
I thought they wanted people to use the mobile app on the iphone, so that’s what I did. I think the 1099 is delivered by email.
yeah, well, most of us don’t have iphones!
Just wanted to jump in to clarify that you can use the Stripe Express website, or their mobile iOS app.
Most of our users have been using the desktop site. The iOS app is there for convenience for iOS users. Unfortunately they do not have an Android app as of yet.
