Recently, we are noticing Inquiries where its only 1 hour with 1 person at event, not disclosing nature of event planned, and then the potential guest sends a flurry of questions in the email.
1.Is there a charge by PeerSpace to PS Renters who are using inquiries ?
2. Does the software require a complete form populated with enough information so hosts have an idea of the event.
Its possible that its just a few Renters that take this approach. Yet on all 5 of this type of Inquiry, multiple questions are sent to me, I answer them and hear nothing more from the potential guest.
Sounds to me like phishing for Peerspace operational information by another company trying to do similar. Especially when they “disappear”
I’d write: “thanks I’ll get back to you!” So you don’t have a problem with your response rate. And then infirm Peerspace support.
Oh and also…don’t get back to them further. That’s bizarre and I’ve seen thousands of legitimate inquiries but nothing like that.
I think phishing is way more common than we think on this site. I am sure I’ve gotten phishing inquiries in the past but you get penalized here for not responding in a timely manner, so you are forced to pay them some level of attention. One of the frustrating policies that doesn’t help the host here. I think there are way too many ways for shady renters to ‘beat’ the system.
