I have in my rules that last minute cancelations/reschedules are subject to a fee and a guest was not happy with that. She proceeded to leave me a 1 star review. Can I get this removed as this was retaliatory in nature.

Do cancelled bookings still have the option to leave reviews?
Or did this person not officially cancel the booking on Peerspace but instead asked you to cancel and refund for them? I hate that. They don’t understand it’s not just us losing their booking, it’s us losing our status on Peerspace.
Peerspace didn’t remove a retaliatory review even when I asked, telling them in detail what happened with one the guests.
A guest booked but turned out to be a no- show -I didn’t even meet him. In his first contacts he kept asking for a certain date and I agreed.
The date came and the guest didn’t show up. Meanwhile, our own work was put on hold and other guest’s inquiries were rejected. At the time we were Superhosts, replying inquiries right away etc.
Weeks later the no-show guest demanded a new date for free. He wanted to by-pass Peerspace and just come over for his new shoot date.
I already lost my trust in him, so I told him to go back to Peerspace and book again as if doing it first time. He didn’t want to and left us our first one star review.
I contacted Peerspace, explained what happened, wanting to have the unfair review removed. Peerspace refused.
I contacted them again, telling how the no-show guest wanted to re-book without Peerspace and how I was the one who wanted to keep the transaction within Peerspace’s rules.
Peerspace told me the review was legit and fair, despite fact the person never even visited the space.
They left the review on and my approach towards Peerspace changed from that date on. Stopped trying to be a “good” host, stopped replying inquiries right away. To avoid dealing any new possible negativity from Peerspace, I also blocked months and months in our calendar without any particular reason. I got a dedicated website built and started to market the space myself.
@Marko_T I took a look at this situation from 2019 and went ahead and removed the review. Based on the messages, he did not use your space during his booked time. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention!
