Retaliatory review

Well I just got my first retaliatory review from a guest that booked our kitchen space in our mansion. After booking, the guest later wanted access to the entire mansion (6 bedroom/8 bathrooms). Plus the guest mentioned she needed the extra space to likely go over the10 person limit mentioned in her booking. Oh parties… We mentioned the entire mansion isn’t something you can book out. She later got upset and canceled saying she was going to leave a retaliatory review for not us allowing her to have access to the entire mansion. Hope I can get the review removed. I do not like large groups trying to have parties at my place and lying about how many guest they really plan on bringing.

Gotta love entitlement

I may be mistaken, but I don’t believe a review can be left for a canceled booking. So I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

This is just so sad. They shouldn’t be able to leave any type of review and I’d definitely contact Peerspace.

Sorry this happened to you. There are a lot of great renters out there, but unfortunately bad apples can still fall off every tree.

At the end of the day, you need to protect your space and do what’s right for you.

I have had guests extend the number of people and ask for more at the last minute. But it’s usually not enough to compromise my location. I did have one who decided that one add-on space, to be used for costume changes, should be made available without extra pay, but I provided a curtain on my laundry room which has a door that happens to open on the driveway where they were storing costumes.
