Calendar Syncing

Hi everyone! I’d love to know if there’s a trick to syncing more than one calendar with Peerspace. I have synced my Airbnb calendar, but desperately need to sync my VRBO calendar, which is where I’m seeing much more traffic lately. I won’t create a Google calendar just to make Peerspace work with the other platforms I use, so I’m hoping there’s a trick here. Thank you!

Hi Meagan, currently only possible to sync one external calendar at a time. Do you know if your Airbnb calendar also is synced with your VRBO? If so, does your Airbnb cal contain any blocks from VRBO?

The team hears this feedback and is already thinking about ways to ingest multiple calendars. Thanks for your question!

I am also having trouble with this. I linked my VRBO calendar (which is synced with AirBnB and Tripadvisor.) But only the VRBO bookings and manual blocks synced with Peerspace. As a temporary solution, I manually blocked the missing bookings on the Peerspace calendar. However, I see this as a possible catastrophe waiting to happen if I forget to manually block in the future. Is there a time frame for an update to be able to sync multiple calendars?

Any updates on this? I recently had such a catastrophe when I got double-booking from Airbnb and Peerspace (Airbnb wasn’t active for a while so I was syching Peerspace with ■■■■■■■■) and Peerspace has now penalized me for this. ■■■■■■■■ has the option to import multiple calendars, and Airbnb allows import and export, yet Peerspace still only has single calendar import or direct sync. Direct sync doesn’t work with Airbnb because it only allows you to sync calendars under “My Calendars” in Google calendar–Airbnb imported calendar goes under “Other Calendars”. I can’t believe Peerspace hasn’t addressed this yet. I don’t see a way to get Airbnb to recognize bookings on Peerspace and therefor block the dates. I don’t understand why Peerspace hasn’t addressed this yet.

Whoa, it censors out a competitor, that’s intense!

@Matthew_B please see my above post and let me know if there are any solutions.

Hey @Noble_Loft, you can still only connect one external calendar unfortunately, though our Product team is gathering requests related to calendar syncing so they can give hosts more options. One option in the meantime would be to sync all your calendars with a google calendar and then use our automatic sync feature to connect with that google calendar.

Thanks @Matthew_B . I actually tried the google calendar option but the problem is direct sync only works with calendars under “My Calendars” and not “Other Calendars”, and the Airbnb calendar, for instance, will only import under Other Calendars, so it won’t be included in direct sync. I actually spend over an hour with Google the day I posted this with no success–they didn’t know how to resolve. So, I can either synch with Airbnb, in which case Peerspace won’t book over an Airbnb reservation but Airbnb doesn’t know of Peerspace reservations as it’s only import. OR, I can direct sync which only prevents double booking with ■■■■■■■■ (your competitor, which despite seeming lower-budget, allows the import of several calendars). I don’t understand this isn’t a priority for your developers.

@Matthew_B Does Peerspace offer integration with any calendar management platforms?

The bottom line, to the extent you care, is that with platforms like Airbnb being so seemless, it probably makes more sense to lower my minimum night stay with them to one night and just use them and, say, VRBO exclusively. Not that my business will change things for Peerspace, which is a great platform, but it’s possible other hosts are making the same calculation.
