8hr+ %Discount is only charging for 8hrs

Hey Peerspace Hosts,
First time posting and very surprised I couldn’t find any other posts about this. I’ve been renting
for about 3years + and I’ve been frustrated by this in the past, but thought it would resolve itself I guess.
My issue is, that I would like to have an 8 hour + discount and right now mine is 10% off. That’s how it’s listed and promoted on the site etc. What I’m upset about is when someone rents for 10 hours or 12 hours, it not only takes 10% off 8 hours, but it doesn’t charge them for the additional hours they are booking. So it’s not 10% off 12 hours a day, it just maxes out at the 8 hour rate minus the 10% discount.
The difference between an 8 hour day and a 12 hour day are huge and while I would like to still offer 10% off, it needs to be every hour with the full rate minus the 10% discount. Guests feel cheated after I have to manually do the math and update the bookings. I really hope this is making sense and Peerspace can update their platform / ux in this area since they’re losing money as well as the hosts.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it me? lol

When you have an 8+ hour discount set up (like your current 10% off), that discount does apply to the entire subtotal of the booking, not just the first 8 hours. For example, in the screenshot example below, the guest is requesting to book for 10 hours at $89/hr, and the 10% discount is applied to the full $890 subtotal, bringing the total down by $89.

That said, this automatic discount only applies when the guest submits the booking themselves. If you, as the host, send an offer or manually update the hours on an existing booking, the system won’t automatically recalculate the discount. In those cases, you’ll need to manually adjust the subtotal before sending the offer to reflect any discount you’d like to include.
