PS is encouraging us to accept instant bookings and not ask the client to tour

I own an art gallery with a capacity to host 60 people. Half of my booking requests headcount they put 1 and after I meet with them I find out they want to have an event with 100 people. After they see the space in person, they truly realize if we are the right fit or not.

Even though our profile says not suitable for kid parties and not handicap accessible, during our tours I find most people don’t really pay attention to our rules and restrictions and after I explain we realize my space is not the best fit for their needs.

I’d rather be honest and let the client find what they need then hurry to take their money.

I’ve emailed P.S. about my concerns, still waiting for a reply back…

yeah, I’ve had to turn down quite a few events since my bathroom seats just one.

In their defence, many of them are messaging whole batches of places and so they don’t bother/unable to remember the restrictions.

In your position, before accepting a visit, I’d remind them, no kids, no handicap access and less than 60 guests.
