Peerspace fees on add-ons

I know hosts have questioned this since Peerspace added add-ons and then started charging their fees on the add-on prices.

I try to make things as easy as possible for guests by offering add-ons, but in most cases that I deal with, I’m not the provider. Instead I’m ordering from a restaurant that might have an online ordering fee, and then I have to add another 20% to cover Peerspace’s fee + a little for my time especially if I do the delivery, and suddenly the meal is 40%+ more expensive than the restaurant’s menu prices. I’m grateful for Peerspace’s role in bringing the business to me, but then I’m the one bringing the business to the restaurants, not Peerspace. How are other hosts dealing with this?

I also don’t like the payout schedule on add-ons. Sometimes I’m ordering hundreds of dollars of food, weeks in advance. To wait a month to get essentially reimbursed for that can be rough.

I was wondering the same for event decorations, there’s a lot paid out in advance, and it’s hard to handle cash flow with fees and the possibility of cancellation.
