Peerspace does the advertising for you on their website. When they take service fees from your bookings, that’s what the money is used for.
When I started, I promoted on my social media platforms & website. When I ran ads, I linked it directly to my Peerspace page. I received bookings/inquiring that way & the analytics from that drew more guests interest on Peerspace. I’m not sure if this is exactly how it works, but when your listing gets attention it’ll eventually move up to where your studio will show on the first few pages of the search. You’ll then get that organic guest interest on a more consistent basis.

Something to think about…
When you run ads that direct to your Peerspace listing, that’s both the fee for the ad listing plus the 15% fee that Peerspace is due out of your pocket.
Would recommend you send ads to your website instead.
There are fees associated with creating/running your own site, but in the long run the full fee you collect should offset that.
I think of Peerspace as passive income. Sort of like casting a fishing line out and letting it just bob there hoping for a bite. Happy to pay the 15% for that. Meanwhile, I’m actively trolling the waters for clients via paid social media, email marketing, etc. that brings them directly to my studio’s site for the full fee.

Agreed. I was just explaining my process when I was new to Peerspace in January 2021. Now, my social media/search engine adds lead directly to my website where we can be booked directly through there. I do have a Peerspace hyperlink in the footer for people who decide to still book that way.
