Almost every day I get asked from Guest about payment status ,such as if their 2nd payment went through, or something along the lines of their payment status. And I always have to explain to them that I don’t have access to that information and they have to reach out to peerspace for that.
So I wanted to know if guests aren’t informed or away that host don’t have access to their payment status. Because I am being asked these questions more and more from guest and it’s time consuming .
Guests aren’t aware of much of anything it seems. I get asked 100 questions which are all covered on the very front page of my listing, its like nobody reads the listings at all. They just look at the listing photos and click BOOK.
This is the Ops Director for Graham’s listings (we’re New York expats :).
Answer: No, they don’t read anything.
After eight years, we’ve got a template to copy/paste for every conceivable question, my favorite for this one:
“Hello! The rental was booked via Peerspace (venues don’t handle reservations or payments), you’ll just need to email help@peerspace.com to request invoicing documentation thanks - Cheers”
Thanks for sharing the experiences you’ve had with guests who are confused about the payment process. In the future it might be helpful to provide this support article to confused guests. But of course, you’re always welcome to direct them to our Customer Experience team for any payment-related questions as well. We appreciate your feedback.
