This is the Ops Director for Graham’s listings. Not sure what product updates are affecting Point-Of-Sale, but with both an Invite To Book yesterday, and an Update Request today, the amount of Peerspace’s processing fee has been removed, thus removing the net total.
From a user experience perspective, renters then ask us the amount, and since Peerspace did away with flat rates years ago, at present our only answer is “we’ll know after we send it to you.”
Customers don’t want to hear that, it sounds like a “hidden fees” trope.
Hi @Graham_M thanks for calling this out. This was an unintentional omission on our part during this redesign. We are going to re–add the “guest total cost” line item to the offer pages. If you have any other feedback please let us know. Best, Rony
Thanks Rony! Just to confirm, can you please make sure the Guest Total Cost line item is returned not only to the offer/Invite To Book page, but also the Update Request Page?
Essentially any page which represents an out-of-pocket cost to guests, for initial booking, or add-on cost/upsell for rentals already booked.
Hi Rony, Dominick here again, also we’re discovering there is no longer a feature to change the default price of an Add-On to an a la carte/discounted, or comped/zeroed-out price.
The effect of this would be to not check off the comped add-on, and necessitate a pivot to further explanation in the message box to avoid confusion by the renter (e.g. “You offered me this feature for free, but you did not check it off.”)
