Peerspace cancelled my booking last minute

Two days before a Saturday event, Peerspace cancelled the booking with an automatically generated “Trust & Safety” message to my inbox. This event had been booked for months. We run a full-time studio rental business when we’re not doing events. So not only do I not have an event on my busiest day of the week, but I also don’t have time to fill the slot with anything else because it had been blocked off for so long.

This event was booked on June 11. I emailed help@peerspace.com IMMEDIATELY (June 9) to see what exactly happened and maybe figure it out and come up with a solution. However, I didn’t receive a response back until today, June 14. According to them I might not have received funds for this event. Seems like something that would be important to figure out more than 2 days before the event… If not, something important enough to explain to the host (me).

I’m pretty turned off by this. It may have only been a small payday for Peerspace, but it’s a big deal for me and my small business. I don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere with emailing so I wanted to post this here and see if anyone else has dealt with something similar.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I always get a faster response when I call the support line (vs emailing). This happened to me a couple weeks ago- I had Friday & Saturday events booked for quite some time and they were both cancelled within minutes of each other on Thursday. There must have been a glitch in their system because both guests had already submitted ID verification. They fixed it quickly over the phone.

Thank you. I completely forgot that a customer service line existed. This is really helpful.
