@Angela_Marty_S thanks for providing clearer math than I did!
From my perspective, it makes no sense for Peerspace to keep the entire service fee and pay us less than the 85% we expect (and deserve). In my case, we’re getting 68% of the 1/2 payout not 85%.
Also, Peerspace is refunding the cleaning fee but is keeping the 15% service fee for it.
I’m tagging a few other prominent forum posters for their thoughts. (Guys, apologies if this feels like spam!)
@Rony_C I’ve just reread the Grace Period terms several times and wanted to confirm that the 24 Grace Period does not apply for bookings that are confirmed within 48 hours of the start time. (In other words: guests cannot get a full refund if they cancel a booking that they book/we accept within 48 hours of the start time.)
I have a guest who is looking to cancel due to the Corona Virus. One on the meeting guest recently returned from Asia. She contacted me 20 minutes after the 24 hr deadline to cancel and is requesting to be charged only 50%. I would like to grant her request, due to the circumstance and the fact that she missed the deadline by 20 minutes. How do I go about this?
Hi Rony, I book most of my events a year out for weddings, birthdays, and more. Having someone cancel 3-12 months out for a full refund is not good for me. I need to be able to charge a non-refundable reservation deposit, or a security deposit that can be withheld if they cancel for a full refund from peerspace.
