Does Peerspace send out 1099s to hosts each year?

Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Host Community Forum!

Peerspace uses the 1099-K system. What that means is we issue a 1099-K for hosts who earn more than $20,000 and have more than 200 separate payout transactions within a calendar year. If both of these benchmarks are not met, no 1099-K is issued.

Either way, hosts are still responsible for reporting their earnings through Peerspace to the IRS, and we’ve made it easy to download an earnings report following the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Payouts section of your Peerspace account.
  2. Click the “Download CSV” button located in the upper right corner.
  3. Select dates.
  4. Click “Download” and the CSV will be in your downloads folder.

Tip: On your downloaded CSV, highlight the entire “Payout Total” column and the “Sum” located at the bottom will be the total earnings amount.
