Hi - I just received a pretty nasty review by a guest that lied about her experience. She wanted to book my home where I and my family live (which I was upfront about from the get-go) to host a meeting with a psychic. I was totally accommodating, even when she asked that she didn’t feel comfortable having us there during her meeting. So me, my wife, and my kids all went out to run errands. Then as her hour was ending, she asked if they could get even more time (for free). Unfortunately, I said I wasn’t sure how to extend the meeting on Peerspace and we didn’t account for her staying much longer. She said it wasn’t a problem and they’d wrap up.
Mind you, the entire time she was at our place, she kept giggling, not really talking or being communicative with me. Then she leaves me a nasty review saying the whole experience was awkward and that she wasn’t aware this was my home and that I was not being accommodating and that my place “books by the hour” – which is what this site is – and effectively complaining I didn’t give her extra time for free…?
Now this negative review hurts my chance for future bookings and I have no opportunity for recourse?

This is obviously a revenge review. It’s something Peerspace does not allow. If you contact them and explain things, it’s probably they will take it down. Unfortunately, you do not seem to have that in writing (i.e. a text) Perhaps before you contact Peerspace you can text her to get a confirmation that things went as you said–like she asked for extra time for free–in the form of a friendly conversation. Best of luck.

Hopefully your communication was on Peerspace ( her asking you to vacate the home and asking to stay longer and you declining). If someone was using my home for a psychic reading I’d be hesitant to rent to them in the first place. If this is your home, you have to be very careful who you have in it especially with children. You have to be careful that no substances were left behind that could harm children or pets. Contact Peerspace about the review. If it’s retaliatory , it will be removed , hopefully you have proof of it.

Hi Yvonne & Sharon - thanks for the information! Thankfully I was able to have Peerspace remove the review. Most of our communication was on Peerspace chat and I had text proof of her asking for more time. As you said, I have to be more careful of who I accept bookings with (although as a newcomer, I don’t have many inquiries to begin with). Either way, appreciate the guides and thankful for the community here!
