We collect a damage deposit -- but many clients say they can't use Paypal or Venmo

Hi! When we rent on Peerspace we collect a damage deposit – since Peerspace does not do so – some clients have been easy about it, and sent me the deposit on Venmo, but often times, with legitimate corporate clients, they’re not authorized to use Paypal or Venmo. We’ve done various work arounds – but I’m wondering from other hosts: what is the easiest way to collect the damage deposit?

Run the amount on a credit card and then process a refund after you’ve confirmed all is good. You can do this in Quickbooks, but there are other options like Square as well.
