Typical pet fee for nice, clean-to-start home in a major metropolitan area?

Hi all,

I’m thinking of making an add-on for pets in my space. I have fostered dogs in this home and have no problem with well-supervised dogs. But I want to be practical about what allowing dogs or other pets with rentals may mean in terms of clean-up or damage post-shoot. Does anyone have experience or advice on this (other than just not to allow pets)? Thank you!

I would say a pet deposit which helps to keep folks from making sure their pets do not do damage since they want to get their deposit back.

I would also make sure anything that is used with dogs— its not valuable and get replaced. Dogs, especially male dogs have the tendency to mark so keep that in mind. Also you may want to have dog wipes and cleaning tools easily accessible, just in case there’s an accident.

Thanks, Sade! These are good points. I know how to do an Add-on fee, but for “pet deposit” that requires a return of the money if all goes smoothly. That’s not something I know how to do through the platform.

Hi @Mary_I – I just wanted to pop in and share an article that goes over security deposits, which may be helpful!
