More guests than notified

We are a new small content space based in Altamonte Springs, Florida. How do you all handle instances when more people arrive than what’s indicated in the booking? For instance, we have a photoshoot booked with 3 guests. Upon arrival, I counted a total of 7 adults and 8 children. Please let me know how you’ve handled this situation.

I tell them right away and let them know the price difference. Then you can charge it at the end of the booking when you get the Peerspace message “Any extra charges” But --and this is important–after you have the conversation, send them a message via Peerspace to confirm so that Peerspace has a record of it and they cannot deny it.

P.S. A good idea to take pics. Or if you have a security camera, use those pics.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I don’t see anywhere what the rate is for attendees. How much more would peer space have charged her for the extra 13 guests?

Go to the rates page where you would edit. There is a place to show how much you charge for various number of guests. If you haven’t already fill that in, then you have no standing to charge for extra guests and you cannot legitimately make a claim. If you have filled that in, then you charge accordingly. If you haven’t, I suggest you do so now so that if this comes up in the future, it will all be clear.

Hello,

What is the maximum capacity of your space and do you have pricing tiers depending on how many attendees.

I have in our rules if a guest goes over or maximum capacity we charge $250. You must provide documentation showing this as well. We also have pricing tiers so if a guest goes into the next pricing tier we charge the higher hourly rate at the end of the booking through additional charges.

If you do not have pricing tiers, if the guest did not go over your maximum capacity or you do not have in your rules if you show up with more people there is a certain charge, then you can’t do anything.
