I am new and live offsite

I am new to this, and my listing just went live. I am a bit nervous since I am new to this and not to mention my listing is in Los Angeles, and I live in San Francisco. I plan to fly down for the first few months so that I can get the hang of it, but I don’t know that I can do this forever. It’s only available on Sunday and Monday. Is anyone else doing this? Not living in the same city? How do you deal with cleanup, set up, etc.? I appreciate any feedback.

Hello, I hope you are well. You will indeed need a manager for the Los Angeles site.

Thank you for your feedback. I guess I will be flying down for the first few months or so. I hope it will be rented, lol. I am getting worried from reading a lot about it being slow right now. Yeah the cleaning part.

Gotcha! eek… I will have to do that later on if it gets busy.

Hi @Lucia_P , Welcome to Peerspace  There are a number of factors that would affect that, such as what kind of space it is, how you will be granting access to the guests, pricing versus if it is worth flying down, or if you are planning to run it remotely essentially how Airbnb hosts do.

Welcome Lucia! I just happened to see your post here, and want to let you know that I am a location manager here in LA - happy to chat with you about your needs and the best way to move forward. You may contact me at 310-625-3960. Best! Ambika

Where is your location, located?

Hello,

I have 5 studios now in DTLA and will be moving back to the East Coast. I hired a part time site manager back in March to train her and she will be moving to a full time position by November. I am also hiring a part time person as well.

I still will be handling all the day to day back end operations of the studios - inquiries, damages, OT, scheduling walk throughs, etc. The employees just need to take care of the studios after bookings, put add ons into the studio when needed and if there are any issues during a booking contact me and go directly to the studio to address it. I have an office on site so they are basically there during the bookings. I have an office on the floor where my studios are.

Good Luck!

Hi @Lucia_P I am in the same boat but I do have a manager. If you can get one that would be awesome. I also hired a cleaning company that comes in just like an airbnb. Good luck to you!
