Special Holiday Pricing?

I’m still looking to figure out a way to do special holiday pricing that is different than a simple weekend markup. For example, again this year, Halloween eve and NYE are landing on weekends and my premium weekend up-charge is not even close to sufficient to account for those special occasions. NOBODY reads the fine print when inquiring so I waste a lot of time getting inquiries for a much lower price.

Can somebody help me with this? I’ve given up because of Covid but want to get back into the game and this is a huge hurdle for me.

As I was typing this I got another (!) inquiry for NYE. This person basically wants to pay half of what I ask, as does the other person asking about Halloween Eve because when they go in and make a request, a number pops up that doesn’t reflect my holiday footnote. It’s super hard to tell someone the price is not what is in front of their face, not to mention, how do I adjust that and charge them manually?

PS. I’ve also tried to use “Add-ons” as a feature to create a special rate that auto-calculates for Halloween Eve and it is coming up as “$0”. There’s some technical glitch here. Can someone let me know if it’s possible to select a “Halloween Eve” Add-on? It’s not working for my catering or anything else either.

I know I’m gonna get the same thing. People that want to throw a 150 person party, for 4 hours.:rofl:
I would put your Halloween rate upfront so they can’t miss it. I don’t even do parties bigger than 50 anymore. Not worth the neighbors filing a complaint.

THANK YOU for commiserating. That’s the most I’ve gotten so far. I love the concept and most of Peerspace except for this glaring problem. I can’t even get Add-ons to work. I’m going to have to give up.

Hi @Diana_A , Thanks for your post. As you note, you can set pricing by day of the week and number of attendees but we currently do not support special pricing for a unique day such as Halloween or New Years. Your idea to use add-ons for this is a good work around. I think it would be easiest to set the add-on as a “flat-fee” and display it on your listing with an appropriate title. If you’re still having issues contact us and we’ll get you sorted. Thanks,

Rony

Hi Rony, thanks for your quick reply. I have done this and am getting errors on my listing. I have been wondering why I’m getting confusing questions when I thought I made it very clear. Here is my listing. Can you see if my add-ons are working? They aren’t for me but idk if that’s because I’m trying to book my own place.

Thanks, Diana

Yep, I see your add on for Halloween. You can do the same for certain days during the holidays. Just be sure to remove the add-ons after the date passes

Thanks again
