Extra charge for not moving furniture back?

My listing is set up so that people can enter and exit the space without me being there (custom door code). When I send them their booking confirmation, I say that they if they move furniture, they need to put it back the way they found it before the end of their rental.

If they did not return the space to the same configuration, is it appropriate to charge the renter? If so, what is an appropriate amount to charge?

Hello,

We have that as well in our rules, but I think Peerspace deems that arbitrary so they will not allow you to charge for that. Do you charge a cleaning fee? If not you should consider that.

When we have a guest leave the room extremely disorganized I just ding them in the review. So if the only thing wrong in the booking was them not putting the room back to its original way I give them 4 stars instead of 5. Majority of our guest do put things back but you will always a few that just leave without doing anything to clean the place up.

Suggestion: Charge extra on the cleaning fee with the agreement that the extra will be refunded if all of the furniture is back in place.
